Haiku

My awe for the beauty of life and nostalgia for its ephemeral qualities cause me to take up the camera in a useless attempt to keep fleeting moments for a little longer. Like the Japanese poems, my photographs emphasize intense simplicity, unmediated experience and directness of expression. They focus on a brief moment in time and try to reveal the beauty and complexity of that instant. Each picture is my sudden enlightenment and illumination.
